Honey - 3D Short Film

Honey is a short film produced in collaboration with Charlotte McCarthy for Sophie's final year of Bachelor of Design in Animation at University of Technology Sydney, 2017. The story and character designs are based on research on the Surma and Mursi Tribes of the Omo Valley in South-West Ethiopia. The tribes are known for their self-decoration, adorning themselves with natural paints, wild flowers, grasses, fruits, nuts and berries.

Sophie was responsible for the character design, modelling, rigging, texturing, surfacing and fur of the young female character and the bees. She was also responsible for the animation, story and editing.

Software used includes Autodesk Maya, Pixar's Renderman, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects and Final Cut Pro.
